چکیده

Although there is little doubt that more than one proteolytic enzyme occurs in plasma, plasmin (fibrinolysin) is the only such enzyme which has been definitely identified. Astrup and Permin,12 on the basis of differences in susceptibility to activation by streptokinase and fibrinokinase, have suggested that there are two precursors of fibrinolytic enzymes in human blood. They have designated the enzymes activated by streptokinase and fibrinokinase, respectively, as s-plasminogen and f-plasminogen, the latter being responsible for the spontaneous proteolytic activity of blood. The suggestion of Astrup and Permin that the enzyme producing the spontaneous proteolytic activity of serum is not identical with plasmin, which requires external activators such as chloroform or bacterial kinases, was investigated in the dog, and the results are reported in this paper.

آنتی‌‌بادی‌های پروتئولیتیک در سرم خانم‌های باردار: مطالعه شاهد- موردی

Background: The induction of catalytic antibodies (abzymes) was first postulated by Pauling in 1948. Various catalytic antibodies have been detected recently in the sera of patients with several autoimmune pathologies such as systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis. In addition, antibodies with DNase and RNase activity have been discovered in the milk and sera of healthy human mot...

Proteolytic activity and cooperative hemolytic effect of dermatophytes with different species of bacteria

Background and Purpose: Globally, dermatophytes are the most common filamentous group of fungi causing cutaneous mycoses. Dermatophytes were shown to secrete a multitude of enzymes that play a role in their pathogenesis. There is limited data on co-hemolytic (CAMP-like) effect of different bacterial species on dermatophyte species. In this study, we sought to the evaluate exoenzyme activity an...

Coagulation and Liquefaction of Semen

Certain specimens of human semen shorten the coagulation time of whole blood because of the presence of active thromboplastic agents, while other samples prolong its coagulation time. Human prostatic fluid in large amounts always delays or abolishes blood coagulation. The delay or absence of clotting is counteracted by adding calcium ions and is due to the large concentration of citrate in pros...

Digestive proteolytic activity of Scrobipalpa ocellatella (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) on various sugar beet cultivars

Molecular detection of proteolytic activity of human parechovirus 2A protein by gene expression

Parechoviruses form one of the nine genera in the picornaviridae family, and include two human pathogens: Human parechovirus type1 and 2 (Hpev1 and Hpev2). The genome of picornaviruses encodes a single polyprotein, which undergoes a cleavage cascade performed by virus encoded proteases to give the final virus proteins. The primary cleavage occurs by 2A protein and this step is critical for vi...
